The Playing Field

• On Friday, in my camp (Stanford 2013, EPGY) we broke up into teams and did an exercise with combination locks.
• My instructor gave us a lock that was in chinese . It was very hard for me and my friend aditya (Team Hackerz).
• This was because this shows how not everybody has the same change in life.
• I think it meant nobody is perfect.
• I can relate to this experience because it is not easy for people to get good and computer programming if they are poor and cannot afford a computer.

The Difference between the Processing IDE and Eclipse IDE

This week I am using 2 different IDE’s: Processing and Eclipse. I like eclipse better so far. This is why because you can make more stuff with it.

Algorithms and Objects

• What is the difference between float and int? Float is used for decimals. Int is for integers.
• What are three sorting algorithms and how are they different? Bubble, insertion and selection.
• What is the difference between an operator and an operand? The operand is like the value that is being operated. The operator is the thing that is operates the operand.
• What do I find in the console window in Eclipse? It is the output.
• What is the difference between an IDE and a text editor? Text editor do not show errors and not help you in your code. On the other hand, an IDE shows errors and helps you.
• What do I call a loop that never ends?  Infinite loop
• What is AI? Assembly Language.

• What is the difference between a Data Type and a Data Structure? Data type is like an integer, float, and character, however data structure is how you

• How does Bubble Sort work? (http://mathbits.com/MathBits/Java/arrays/Bubble.htm)? It takes any random numbers and organizes them.
• What is an Algorithm?A process to achieve something.
• How does a person convert from Binary to Decimal? You must, show how you would convert 101101 in Binary to Decimal. First, it takes the numbers and puts above them 2 to the zero, 2 to the one…………….. from left to right. You just multiply the power above with the number 1 or 0.
• What is Object Oriented Programming? Object Oriented Programming is where you not only list out the data type but you also write the function and use Data Structure. An example is Java.
